“Go with the flow. Force nothing. Let it happen… trusting that whichever way it goes. It’s for the best.”
Most times, we want everything to always go as planned: from the early morning routine, the food we eat, to the time spent with family, and so on. So much that if anything alters it, we tend to feel frustrated and out of control.
Maybe you are at this point right now; how about just allowing yourself to go with the flow?
Don’t even think that it’s a sign of weakness or incompetence. No, it’s not!
It’s you telling yourself, okay, this didn’t go as planned. Can I give it another shot now or later? You could even put a date to it to ensure that you do not forget.
Maybe you’ve structured your day, and while going to bed, you envisioned yourself smashing all your goals. All of a sudden, you wake up to a leaky faucet. And now you’ve got water flowing freely in all the wrong places around your home.
No doubt, it may be challenging to deal with, but you can still decide to go with the flow.
Accepting the situation here would probably mean that you’ll be late for work or even need to take the day off. Whatever the case may be, refuse to get so angry at everything and everyone else to the point that a productive day eludes you entirely.
“If you can’t control the current of the river, then don’t fight it. Just go with the flow.”
Remember that time never waits, and you do not want to invest so much of your time and energy into stress and anger since it can never help you solve the problem at hand.
Before allowing the rush of negative thoughts and emotions, you’ll need to ‘first’ accept that the situation is out of your control. Next, consider fixing the problem by inviting a professional plumber to inspect and repair your leaky faucet. Then call in a professional cleaner, if you must, to restore your home to normal.
With these arrangements in place, you’ll have solved the issue at hand and still have more hours left for some productive work or any new activity you’d like to carry on.
Forget about the perfect lifestyle that’s ‘most often’ portrayed on social media. The truth is, you only get to see what they want you to see. Focus on yourself instead, and do your best to maintain a happy and exciting life that you can always be proud of.
Remember that if the situation is out of your control, no matter what it is, you only need to go with the flow to restore your happiness and peace of mind.
It Pays To Go With The Flow!
